Meet, discuss and plan before you take action.
It’s a new campaign - what’s it all about? How are you going to do it? Who’s going to do what? These are just the questions that your first meeting should answer. Before you take action it’s important that everyone in your group knows about the campaign, understands what the aims are, has seen the new materials, is excited, and committed to winning the campaign!
At your first meeting you need to:
- run through the campaign aims
- explain the campaign. Use the summary and the Going Green report for more detail.
- devise your group’s campaign action plan based on the 3-step Campaign Action Plan. Click here for a sample timeline.
Who should be at the meeting?
If you’re a P&P group invite the Students’ Union Environment Officer along and the green group, plus any individuals you know who will want to get involved. And vice versa if you’re the Students’ Union Environment Officer.
The P&P Support Office staff are happy to come and help run Go Green campaign meetings, or give you advice over the phone. There is a sample Go Green meeting agenda available.
