Party
The Shared Planet 2007 will be the first to take place in a listed building!
We’ve hired a railway arch with a bar and a PA system to help us celebrate the 10th year of Shared Planet.
Don’t be late! Because you might miss:
Fat Digester
Fat Digester
Fat Digester are a music based collective that fuse fun and social comment in a blend of Jazz, Funk, and Hip Hop. An incredible live band, they have proved their worth on both the alternative festival circuit and at venues across the UK and abroad. The act is dynamic, energetic and engaging, definitely not for the faint hearted!
In the press, Fat Digester have been described as “A strangely pacifist dancing utopia” (City Lights) and “The best thing to come out of Nottingham since Paper Lace” (Nottingham Evening Post) and “Too funky for words” (Timeout).
Sheffield Samba Band
Sheffield Samba Band
Sheffield samba band is a community based band, open to all people who want to learn and play in a samba band. We play at festivals and demos when it takes our fancy!! “Madder than a bag of weasles” The Metro.
Danny Chivers
Danny Chivers (the one on the right)
Danny is an environmental researcher, activist, and performance poet.
He spends his days calculating the carbon footprints of office chairs and plastic bottles, and his nights / weekends / lunch breaks campaigning against the root causes of climate change, singing in an as-yet-unnamed band, and trying to come up with good rhymes for “radiative forcing”.
He was part of the media team for the Camp for Climate Action, and is the Oxford Hammer & Tongue Poetry Slam Champion 2007.
